In response to the 'In Her Words' exhibition (showcased at West Yorkshire History Centre) Florence Makes was commissioned to devlop a series of pieces taking inspiration from the text found in Anne Listers diaries.
This response has resulted in a series of limited edition candle covers and lampshades which are crafted using digitally manipulated text extracts from the diaries.
The sculptural candle covers are comprised of almost 200 hand folded pryamids and the colourblock candle covers can be opened out and laid flat - perfect for packing in a suitcase if you've travelled to see this fabulous year long exhibition!!
The Candle Covers are availble exclusivly from The West Yorkshire History Centre, Wakefield.

Made from
Handmade from an assortment of Anne Listers diary extracts. The Candle Cover shade is compised of a heat resistant plastic but we still recommend only using a tea-light candle in the glass votive provided and ensuring it sits directly in the centre of the candle cover. Alternatively a battery powered tea-light looks just as effective.
To clean the outer surface of the shade simply dust using a soft cloth or feather duster.
